Got my Fortune Auto Coilovers back on Thursday. The installation was pretty simple besides trying to achieve the correct ride height (took some time) and some stuck bolts on my car. Even though this is my first set of coilovers, the ride feels very comfortable in the city and highway, the back roads are okay, I had to stiffen the front to stop the bumper from tapping the ground but after that it's been smooth.

I decided to re-re-paint the rear of my car and the front bumper as well. I wasn't very satisfied with the past results and I had some major chips in the front bumper(under the right corner light particularly). I'll get some pictures up once everything is in one piece again.
Trying to stay cool
Got my CodyAce bracket last week. I've got to say, if you are trying to use AC with the SR20, this IS the way to go. I was able to swap the compressors out in about an hour. I still have to charge the system, but as far as the installation, it was very simple with a little bit of modification to the SR compressor bracket. It the bottom part of the bracket needs to be shaved in order for the bottom CodyAce bracket to fit flush. I didn't get a lot of pictures, but it's not that much to see besides what the CodyAce kit looks like.

As my wait for my coilovers and CodyAce bracket continues, I have started to get bored. So I decided to try and remove the cracks in my widebody fenders and some other imperfections. I started Monday, and I was done with everything technically Tuesday, but to be safe I did not drive the car until today...
Brain Fart
There was something important that was supposed to be written here, but I can't remember what It was. So, I am going to reserve the next post to that re-remembered thought. I'm drunk off of a lack of sleep right now so I'm going to bed...Please excuse any spelling, grammatical, or punctuation errors in the two most recent post...

1st one is always the hardest...
I got my first car show award last week. Fan Favorite Import. It meant a lot not just because I won, but all of the proceeds were given to the American Diabetes Association. Those were two things on my list of things to do in my life, win a car show and help a larger cause with my car. I've always been amazed how people can be drawn into doing something like that just because of what's going on around them. To further explain what I'm trying to say: A celebrity can host a charity event or product, promote it; and all of a sudden there are people jumping all over it, pouring money into the cause. Example: Lance Armstrong "Livestrong" rubber bracelet, think about it...you wore one, I wore one, people still wear them today. You can't walk down the street without still seeing one. Some people bought one just because everyone else had one, but the beauty of this is the big picture, a portion of every bracelet sold was donated to cancer research.
I like being able to know that I could help such a cause, not to pat myself on the back, but to look around later and see results. I look forward to doing something like this again.

Gotta Stay Cool
Summer has hit and hit hard this year, seeing 110+ degree days last week was a very hot reminder that I still don't A/C. Luckily I found CodyAce up on the Nico forum, he makes a bracket that allows you to use your KA24DE compressor. I didn't realize it at first, but purchasing a CodyAce bracket was cheaper that trying to get custom lines for my SR compressor. Plus you have to wire it up to work, just like the windshield wipers. Right now had a nice cool day and hopefully another one latter on today (it's 2AM, technically it's tomorrow, today). I can't wait to get my hands on it, so when the July heat comes I'll be ready. I'll post pictures when it comes and gets installed. Also, I'm still waiting on my Fortune Auto Coilovers. I thought I would of had them by now but I would at least like to get them before the holiday weekend. So I can ride out to the holiday festivities SLAMMED, or at least conservatively slammed (lol). Of coarse as I have seen on other S-Chassis cars, the wire harness running under the fender needs to be repositioned before going too low or else rise your tire rubbing and cutting into your harness. So maybe I can occupy some waiting time with some prep work to help cut down on some of the instillation time...
