Head Work
Now that I got the engine head back from the machine shop, it's time to get inside to re-lap the valves. I figured while I have the head off of the block, I might as well do it. So I bought a valve compressor tool, but the only thing was that it could not reach down inside the head because the valves set inside the casting of the head. After thinking of a solution I found one at Lowes, because the (real) adapter has a $38 dollar price tag. It's about the same size as a extended socket. So in the end $1.23 homemade adapter>$38 store-bought adapter.
-I numbered each valve so there would not be a mix up in the reassembly process.
-This is the valve compressor tool with (homemade) adapter.
-Close up.
-All 16 are out now.
-Grinding compound and lapping tool.

-After
-1 down, 15 to go...

Body Work
It time to take out these horrible dents. So far I count 1 quarter sized dent on the roof, 2 egg sized dents of the left rear-quarter panel, and the godzilla ripple along the right quarter panel. I circled them with a red marker because the dents were hard for the camera to pick up.
